Calculus 12 - Challenge 5 Results
Close one as the Fantastic Four and Team Asia?? submitted their answers at the same time. Fortunately for Team Asia??, they had a more complete proof for problem 1 compared to the Fantastic Four so they earn 4 points. The Fantastic Four will pick 3 and The Conquistadores will earn 2.
Also all teams earned 2 extra points for completing proof 4 but I will give the Conquistadores an extra point because Emile proved it in a completely different, yet legitimate way. Math is wonderful that way!
Scores are now
Team Asia - 17
The Conquistadores - 18
The Fantastic Four - 12
Team ?? - 14
Also examples of Implicit Differentiation are shown below.

Calculus 12 - Pi Day Challenge Winners!
Got around to marking the Pi Day Challenge questions and here are the winners!
The Fantastic Four earn 4 points for getting all things correct but having a slightly more amusing answer to the last question than The Conquistadores.
The Conquistadores earn 3 for getting all things correct.
Team ?? earn 2 because of not giving exact values and Team Asia earn 1 because of not giving exact values and not getting the most efficient attack correct (though I will give them props for their subliminal messages on the last question)
Scores are now Team Asia with 10, The Conquistadores with 13, the Fantastic Four with 7 and Team ?? with 8.
Unfortunately with Challenge 3 (from Tuesday) I didn't include a tiebreaker question and everyone had good answers so no point was earned from that. Although hopefully it makes you guys think a little more about the cool relationships the various formulas you have studied in physics have with each other.
UPDATE: Carrie played a very dominant Cammy in today's Street Fighter tournament and earns Team Asia another point.
Also good job to everyone for attempting the proofs and doing a good job for the most part. Most impressed with Katie's attempt at proving the fourth equation and had she more time I'm sure she would have gotten it.
Will post an update to the scores later this weekend once I get around to looking at everyone's proofs.

I did not have time to make a video for the class yet (lost power Saturday and busy Sunday) so the ones from Khan Academy will have to do.
https://www.khanacademy.org/math/differential-calculus/taking-derivatives/power_rule_tutorial/v/power-rule
You probably only need to watch the first video (Power Rule) and the third video (Derivative Properties and Polynomial Derivatives).
I'll try to get my own uploaded soon so it's a better match to what we normally do in class.
Also congrats to Team Asia for winning our Pi Day Street Fighter challenge. This brings them up to 9 points (within 1 from the first place Conquistadors). I will add more once I finish going over the rest of the Pi Day Challenge assignment.
