    what is the factor lable method?

    Factor Label method means show your units at each step of the way.

    Basically, if something is measured in moles, show it as X moles instead of just X.

    I don't see why you wouldn't bake cookies.

    I think I might have made a mistake, because the recipe calls for 5 cups of butter...?
    I don't like cookies so I'll give them to you tomorrow :D om nom nom nom!!!!

    I think that's a little too much butter. Should be closer to 1 cup by my calculation.

    So...we substituted the chocolate chips for peanut butter chips...was that what turned the cookies black?! ='(

    My first thoughts would be the oven was too hot (some ovens are hotter than others) or left in the oven too long.

    Peanut butter chips shouldn't cause the cookies to turn black.

    Check your calculations again too to see if the measurements make sense.
