Chemistry 11 Assignment
For those who were not in class today, the Holiday Assignment was given out today.
I think I might have made a mistake, because the recipe calls for 5 cups of butter...? I don't like cookies so I'll give them to you tomorrow :D om nom nom nom!!!!
what is the factor lable method?
ReplyDeleteFactor Label method means show your units at each step of the way.
ReplyDeleteBasically, if something is measured in moles, show it as X moles instead of just X.

Do we actually have to bake the cookies?
ReplyDeleteI don't see why you wouldn't bake cookies.
ReplyDeleteUnless you don't like cookies.....
You do like cookies? Right? O_o?
I think I might have made a mistake, because the recipe calls for 5 cups of butter...?
ReplyDeleteI don't like cookies so I'll give them to you tomorrow :D om nom nom nom!!!!
I think that's a little too much butter. Should be closer to 1 cup by my calculation.
ReplyDeleteI dunno I like butter...a lot! So buttery cookies sound yummy. You do like buttery cookies? Don't you?
ReplyDeleteSure, just not too buttery. Make sure you have enough to share with the class.
ReplyDeleteI can share my toffee, I have left over, with them!
ReplyDeleteBrb got to go buy ingredients!
ReplyDeleteI'm back!!! We baked so many cookies!
ReplyDeletehey so how many eggs would 99.84 grams be?
ReplyDeleteCheck page 1 of the lab. There's a bunch of useful conversions there.
ReplyDeleteoops sorry okay thanks
ReplyDeleteSo...we substituted the chocolate chips for peanut butter chips...was that what turned the cookies black?! ='(
ReplyDeleteMy first thoughts would be the oven was too hot (some ovens are hotter than others) or left in the oven too long.
ReplyDeletePeanut butter chips shouldn't cause the cookies to turn black.
Check your calculations again too to see if the measurements make sense.
ReplyDeleteoh maybe it was because i was using the fire alarm as a timer. ill have to stop doing that.....
