Remember that even though I am not there to teach you this material, it is still your (the student) responsibility to learn this material!

Ask questions if you need help, look at the videos I post as they are very helpful (as testified by a former student) and if you think your Google skills are up for the challenge, look for tutorials yourself using Google or Youtube.

When I get back next week I expect to return to a bunch of students who learned something! Not a bunch of whining snivelling lazy bums who couldn't learn their way out of a wet paper bag.

These questions will all use the tangent ratio we used yesterday.

Remember that

• tan(A) = opposite/adjacent
• the / is a division

You can use algebra and pythagoras' theorem to solve the triangles.

For example, if the triangle gives you the angle and the opposite side

1. use the equation tan(A) = opp/adj
2. Fill in the numbers you know (for example the angle and the opposite side)
3. Use algebra to solve for the adjacent side. It helps if you calculate the tan(A) first using your calculator.

If you don't have enough information (for example you're missing a side) you can probably use pythagoras' theorem to
