- Complete Exercises p.82-83 #3-15
These questions will all use the tangent ratio we used yesterday.
Remember that
- tan(A) = opposite/adjacent
- the / is a division
For example, if the triangle gives you the angle and the opposite side
- use the equation tan(A) = opp/adj
- Fill in the numbers you know (for example the angle and the opposite side)
- Use algebra to solve for the adjacent side. It helps if you calculate the tan(A) first using your calculator.
