The blog for Mr. Arocena's classes. Recorded here are assignments, quizzes, tests, projects and the current scores for all teams competing for the Arocena Cup. Occasionally I'll post something else too (most likely pertaining to education)

Math 12
Today's assignment: - Complete the worksheet questions. Remember for #17-20, odds do the odd questions, evens do the even questions.
im having trouble with quetion 22-26 trying to find the undefinded answer. can you help me find out what i have to put into mt calculator to get the answer?
Look at the function that is labelled so for 22, the labelled one is Y=sqrt(x).
Now, look at how the unlabelled function is shifted in relation to the labelled function.
Now write a new function that describes the shift.
In the calculator, to put in a function you'll have to use the Y= button. You can put the original function in the first Y= spot, then put the new function in the second Y= spot.
Press Graph and it should show you two functions.
Hope it helps. If you are having trouble with the calculator, I planned on showing everyone how to use the darned things tomorrow in class.
